Sustainable Social Housing and Training

Sustainable Social Housing and Training project with Best Practice Construction, TAFE and Joblink Plus

Homes North is in the planning stages with Best Practice Constructions, TAFE, Joblink Plus, and the Tamworth Regional Council on a collective impact project that combines training, employment and environmental responsibility with new affordable housing supply.

This project is the brainchild of Noretta Terry the owner of Best Practice Constructions and proposes the construction of environmentally sustainable social housing properties.
These dwellings are to be built with the help of people seeking an opportunity to work. They will be selected by Joblink Plus and supervised and trained by TAFE with the intent to complete an apprenticeship and gain a trade.

The construction will be overseen and licenced by Best Practice Constructions.

Homes North plans to finance the building of the homes and manage the social and affordable housing tenancies of the completed dwellings.
