12 Aug Tamworth Homeless Connect Day 2025

Last week, Tamworth once again showed what it means to be a community that cares. The 2025 Tamworth Homeless Connect Day brought together more than 1,000 attendees and 54 service providers, creating a space filled with connection, practical support, and genuine hope.

From health services to hot meals, the day was packed with moments that mattered:

• Service NSW helped 89 people apply for birth certificates,
• Community Health provided 30 flu vaccinations,
• Deck Cafe kept bellies full with an incredible 740 burgers,
• Tamworth Community College served up 500 cups of tea and coffee, and
• countless conversations, referrals, and follow-up appointments were made to connect people with the help they need.

Homes North was proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the community on this important day. A special shoutout goes to our Gen-Z program paticipants, who jumped in to help wherever they could. These young people not only lent their time and energy but also gained valuable insight into the power of community action.

Tamworth Homeless Connect Day is proof that when we work together, we do more than meet immediate needs – we strengthen the bonds that make our community resilient.
